Jillian Ivey, a sophomore who serves as the chapter’s vice president, won the award for Outstanding Programs Council Office; Nellie Stallsmith was recognized as Outstanding Senior; and membership advisor Sydney Jones was awarded Outstanding New Alumna of the Year. The Alpha Nu chapter itself was awarded the Chapter Programming Award for innovative, informative, and fun chapter programming.

Zeta Day is an annual gathering of all the alumnae and collegiate chapters in Alabama and Mississippi.

BSC’s chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded in October of 1922, and is the fifth largest of the six Panhellenic sororities on campus.

“It was an exciting day for the chapter, and we are thrilled,” said Birmingham-Southern junior Morgan Smoke, president of BSC’s Alpha Nu chapter. “Our chapter has worked extremely hard the past few years, so these awards mean a lot to us.”
